Lingerie model rakes 'em in

Monkey Jungle had nothing on the Aventura Mall on Thursday afternoon.
The line outside Victoria's Secret to get a glimpse of lingerie model Adriana Lima snaked out about a quarter of a mile. The SoFla natives were getting restless. ''She's my favorite Angel, but this is pretty ridiculous,'' said Chino Martin, 20, from Sunrise. He came as a favor to cousin Jesus Loayza, 14, who needed a ride. They'd been there about an hour and still had to tangle through the masses inside.
In the store, the scene was no less chaotic. Amid the panty bins and baby-doll racks, a swarm of publicists, saleswomen and paparazzi jockeyed for elbow room.
Suddenly Lima -- dressed in a navy T-shirt and jeans -- emerged from a back room.
''I'm so flattered,'' Lima said, looking out at the crowd (an estimated 800 showed). ``I thank God every day. I am blessed.'' ... Read More ...

Victoria's Secret show heads to Miami

The next Victoria's Secret Fashion show, featuring appearances by Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima, is to take place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, CBS said.
Marisa Miller, Miranda Kerr and numerous other Victoria's Secret Angels are also expected to take to the runway in the holiday-themed lingerie show, said CBS, which is set to air the event this fall.
The Fontainebleau Miami Beach resort will soon re-open following a $1 billion renovation.

No Wedding Bells for Lima Just Yet

Don’t believe the rumors of wedding bells for Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima and Minnesota Timberwolves star Marko Jaric -- at least not yet -- according to a report in People magazine.
Jaric, 29, and Lima, 26, have been dating for six months, but recent online rumors about him reportedly checking out engagement rings have left the Timberwolves big man perplexed, according to People.
"I am not shopping right now," Jaric, 29, told People. "But I could start tomorrow. I am that close. I'm definitely not yet engaged, but it doesn't mean we're not thinking about it."
Jaric said it was "a life decision" and, therefore, "a private thing," according to People.

PageSix reports, Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard (and budding entrepreneur) Marko Jaric was in Los Angeles on Sunday night with his girlfriend, Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, where the two had dinner at Little Door.
While there is clearly a ring on 26-year-old Adriana's left ring finger, Marko, 29 — who also has an Italian clothing line and a lot of real-estate holdings — didn't give it to her.
"It was not an engagement ring," says his rep. "But they are very much in love and enjoying spending time together."
